Laysa lahum

Filmed in 1974, Laysa lahum wujud is a response to the phrase said by Golda Meir, one of the founders of the State of Israel: “In reality, Palestinians do not exist.” Enraged, director Mustafa Abu Ali filmed what was left of Maliha, his hometown destroyed in 1948 by Zionist forces.
