After - Depois - Según
Exercise 1, 2016.
With the artist Cristina Garrido and the curator Marta Ramos-Yzquierdo.
After / After / Según (Exercise 1) occurred during the days of 2016 ARCOmadrid art fair in the Salón space, Madrid, Spain.
When does an artwork begin?
When does it end?
When is it formalized?
When does it materializes itself?
When does it circulate?
When is it distributed?
When is it redistributed?
To discuss and problematize the differences between the work of artists and curators in creating a work of art from various appropriation strategies, Moreschi, Garrido and Ramos-Yzquierdo decided to work together. In April 2015, they began exchanging various objects, digital files and excerpts from texts by Jean-Yves Jouannais, Jorge Luis Borges, Boris Groys, Orson Welles, Joan Fontcuberta, Alain Badiou, Jan Mukarovsky, Andrea Fraser, Hito Steyerl, Robert Smithson, Luis Camnitzer, Nestor García Canclini, Jens Hoffmann, among others.
These materials could be manipulated or not by Moreschi, Garrido and Ramos-Yzquierdo and the action involved the circulation of such objects in the Internet and the cities of Madrid, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires and Helsinki, where the artists and the curator were during that one year exchange.
In the experiment performed in space Salón, all exchanged material and a photocopy machine were placed at the disposal of visitors who were able to make several copies and interventions.
Photographic documentations of the experience were created from another layer of appropriation (this time, virtual), with the photos published on the Internet by visitors using the #afterdepoissegun hashtag
