Art Book
Book etc., 300 pages, 15.4 x 25 cm., 2012 - 2014.

The book comprehends artists’ bios and 311 artworks by 50 fictitious artists – all of them created by myself based on clichés identified in 10 international encyclopedias for contemporary art.
Beginning in 2012 and concluded in 2014, this project is the result of his MFA research, under the tutoring of professor Lygia Arcuri Eluf, and financed by the São Paulo Foundation for Research Support (Fapesp) alongside the Funarte Prize for Contemporary Art and the Funarte Grant for Stimulating Visual Arts Production.
By identifying 50 exemplary art market stereotypes for contemporary artists, and by producing himself the artworks (in real size) of the 50 fictitious artists invented according to such stereotypes, Moreschi has demonstrated that the contemporary art system is accompanied by an installation manual, and that de-codifying it is similar to learning a new language.

This is Art Now & Art Book: If it´s hot in the art world is in these books, this seminar and this Triennial
Trienal de Artes, SESC Sorocaba, Brazil, 2014. Curadoria de / Curated by Josue Mattos.
Mixed-media installation (Vinyl, books, table, chairs; looped 2´16” video on monitor) and seminar (participants: Bruno Moreschi, Cristina Garrido, Veronica Stigger, Marta Ramos-Yzquierdo, Renán Rovida). Project in collaboration with Cristina Garrido for Frestas.
Based on two encyclopaedias of fictitious artists, created simultaneously by two artist without knowing the existence of one another, curator Josué Mattos invited Moreschi and Garrido to propose an specific project for Frestas - Frestas Art Triennial.
Both of books were displayed in a room, where invented quotes from important cultural journals, written in vinyl on the wall, recommended the encyclopaedias. On the monitor, edited clips taken from Youtube, featuring some of the most important curators and art critics, seemed to announce a seminar.
In this seminar, in which Moreschi and Garrido took part as representatives of their respective publishers, plus an art critic, one curator and several actors, they discussed the books and the work of some of the creators featured in them, questioning the role these publications play in the art system, the creation of History and the potential of fiction, from fiction itself.
